On The Shores of Quabbin

Found many of these plants, I believe to be Calico Asters, along the water of Quabbin Reservoir. They looked so pretty growing along the rocky shoreline :)

Grape Leaf

The leaves of the grape vine are starting to show some amazing color, almost looks like mosaic tiles to me.

What a Tangled Web We Weave

Strolling through the apple orchard in Quabbin, Dawn goes her way & I go mine, searching for photographic treasures!
It's so much fun to see her photos after a day together, I get to see the things I've missed that she spotted and more times then I can count, we tend to see the same things, but in different ways.....can't wait to get back out there! :)

The Pose

Dawn & I went to Quabbin Reservoir today, spent a few hours wandering the apple orchard with a few deer, beautiful!
I really liked the original photo but I had zoomed in using my digital zoom....bad, very bad, way too much noise, I had a hard time trying to clean this photo up......Ugh! !
Something about the way the deer is standing and the surrounding colors made me fall in love with it & I knew that I would have to try and fix it, thanks to PS, I was able to salvage the photo by turning it into a watercolor painting.

Red Berries

The swamp along the bike path holds so many hidden treasures :)

Peaceful Easy Feelings

Took a walk on the local bike path with my sister the other night, this beautiful swamp runs along part of the path, If allowed I would have pitched a tent & spent the night....it was so peaceful. :)

Water-colored Cosmo

Cosmos come in such a variety of colors, I love how it looks like someone used water-color paints on this one.

Puffers Pond Reflected

How can anyone pass up the opportunity to shot trees & blue skies reflected into water as smooth as glass, I know I have a hard time walking by without taking at least one photo or....... maybe more :)

Garden Art

My sister designs and makes the coolest Garden Art using copper wire & adding in marbles or sea glass and I think the more weathered it gets the better looking it becomes!

The Balloonfest that I went to took place at a small airport & I just couldn't resist grabbing a few shots of some of the small airplanes.

Portulaca

Portulaca also known as Moss Rose.
I love the many colors of these flowers, but I really like the softer colors the best, pale yellow, pure white, creamy peach....the foliage is real attractive also!

Water Colors

Another water shot taken upstream a bit.
By using the slow shutter mode it softened the water & really enhanced the reflection of the sunlight, and as you can see with the colored leaves, falls starting to happen 'round these parts!

Puffers Pond

After watching the hot air balloons take off, Dawn and I set off to Puffers Pond to explore the babbling brooks & wooded pathways. Had fun trying to capture this and many more water shots without getting to wet!

Flying High

My sister and I headed out to the balloonfest this morning (really, really early for me on a weekend & very, very cold--brrrr) :-)
This was my first time experiencing an actual lift off of a hot air balloon & it's quite an amazing sight to see!

A Walk in the Woods

It's a Beautiful Mornin'

At certain times of the day the lighting on my funky decorative vase catches my eye, I love how the light plays with the contrasting colors & enhances the design.

Good Mornin'

I love waking up and looking out to see the Morning Glorys blooming, I have a variety of colors, so ya never no what your gonna see, from a light pink to this intense blue....so pretty :)
