Kacie

I'm still working on my people shots, I love trying to capture a moment when someone doesn't have a clue I'm taking their photo. Not so easy, with the people I know, they tend to look the other way when they see I have my camera out.
But not so with Kacie, my niece, she loves posing, actually she likes to run the photoshoot, LOL :)
I've finally learned that I can grab a few candid shots of her while she "sets up" the next shot, you just have to be quick with the shutter button, oh the energy of youth!

Winter Sunset

Photoshop amazes me!
Tonights sunset :)
Shot was taken from my second floor window.
I was trying to get this shot because it was such a cool sunset, the clouds were amazing, But power lines ran across the photo, not thinking I could get rid of the unsightly power lines but with a few clicks in photoshop I was able to erase all the lines...do you see any? I think I did ok for a photoshop newbie , LOL :)

Chickadee-dee-dee

As a kid I remember waking early and listening to the Song of the Chickadee, a quiet morning wake-up call :)
I also love the chickadee-dee-dee sounds especially when there's a whole flock fluttering about. These little guys are so friendly that I've even had them feed right out of my hand!

Monitor Mascot

I just received my new close-up kit, +1, +2 & +4 lenses. I've become obsessed with getting as close as I can to things, can't wait for my flowers to try these babys out on...but until then...my monitor mascot, can't recall exactly where this little guy came from but he's been sitting atop my computer monitor for years, even made it through when I moved!
It's amazing how close you can get with these lenses, I was shocked at how dusty this little guy was :) I had to clean him up nice and shiny for his big photo debut ;)

Sunlit Shadows

I have a collection of colored glass, a mish-mash of vases, bowls & plates, in a few different colors. I love how the sunlight reflects into the glass leaving a glowing shadow :)

I had to try this circle art sooner or later, :)
I know that Leesa made some wonderful designs, and Wendy, who is awesome at doing this sent Dawn the instructions, who then gave them to me...it's so amazing how the image changes into something so new & different!

Into The Light

Another shot from Quabbin.
The fog was so cool this day, a tad bit eerie as it drifted through the area, engulfing the shores, coyotes barking in the distance, the sun trying desperately to burst through...a day of many wonders...a day to remember.

Hey, You Lookin' At Me?

One of my favorite places to visit in Quabbin Reservoir is the old apple orchard, as Dawn & I walked down the path we were followed into the orchard by 3 deer, and as we wandered about, 2 more joined the others. At one point I was taking photos of the birds I turned around and a young deer was about 3 feet from me, I think if I hadn't spooked it when I turned, it would have came right up to me.
After so many times visiting the orchard and wandering with the deer, I feel that each time is a special gift, and wouldn't trade in these moments for nothing!

Hangin' on

Went out exploring with Dawn today, headed back out to Quabbin Reservoir and what a great day! The day started out with an incredible fog rolling in over the water, the sun peeked out once in a while, crisp winter air oh and the deer were everywhere! ---photos of them soon :)
But the best of all was just hanging out with Dawn....laughing, learning, being goofy :) Thanks Sis!!
