Quietly on the Banks
Dawn and I often go out together to take photos & enjoy nature, she's on vacation with her family, and I've been kinda missing her and our outings, so I dug this photo out of the archives & had some fun in PS.
So here she is....Missing you *D*! Hope your having a ball in Disney!!

I love this! K, you must tell me how you did this. I was playing in Photoshop and learned how to highlight a color (by darkening the rest of the photo), but how did you darken the photo and add a color in the water reflection? You're VERY clever!!
I hope you don't mind, but I put a link to your site on mine. If you don't want it there, just say the word and it's gone.
Hi Wendy :)
I Photoshopped this the same way I did my eye,(a few posts back) using the Magic Lasso Tool to select the reflection of Dawn in the water, kept that color and turned the rest of the photo B&W & added a warming filter. The original color photo was nice but it's a very busy photo, lots of spotted light & dark shadows, I wanted to try and focus mainly on her and her reflection in the water...and this is what I ended up with!
Oh and Wendy I'm honored that you've linked me :) I've also linked you to my site, is that OK?
I am going to have to give this a whirl. I feel like a clutz using the lasso ... I guess I should be practicing!! And I ... am honored that you linked me! Thank you!!
ps, I have NO idea why I'm up at this ungodly hour on a Sunday morning. The rest of the house is silent.
Very cool!
