Sweet William

Wasn't to sure about using B&W for a flower photo, but as I was messing around in PS with this shot of a Sweet William I removed the color and was amazed at the change. I found it showed off a little more depth & detail than with color. Change is good : )

Wonderful experimental decision. You're right, it really caught my eye that it was a flower shot, without color. That is one of the few subject matters I've never really considered appropriate in general for BW, but you've shown a very intersting view of the flower, focusing on pattern, texture and depth. Great shot.
